I once had a friend named Ed. I met him when I was a troubled child and turned into an adult with problems before I even got a chance to say, "see you later" before walking out the door. He has inspired me and helped me heal in the most indirect and unknowingly ways possible. One time he told me to take buses, subways, any means of public transportation I could, and draw everything that I saw, and at the end of the day he suggested I make an exhibit of all the things I saw and created. I went in a different direction. This is the first of a thousand letters I will never send, and he is one of them. I'm writing on the envelope knowing he will never get my letter.
